Mental Health Practitioner

Alice Mariuzzo

Hi there, I’m Alice.

I recently graduated in Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience I am now finishing a Master in Health Psychology at UCL.

I’m also an enthusiastic climbing instructor with a passion for both the physical and mental aspects of sports to promote wellness. I recently joined Anxend as a Mental Health Practitioner, honoured to support children coping with anxiety, prioritising early detection and intervention due to its common coexistence with other mental health challenges.

I struggled with anxiety throughout elementary school and during high school. I will use my experience to relate to both children and teenagers struggling with such an overwhelming condition, and I will offer the same support I would have loved to have myself in the past.

With a passion for understanding the complexity of human behaviour, I am enthusiastic about applying my theoretical understanding in practical settings to support psychological intervention. In particular, empowering children to take back control over their lives.

With a solid foundation in Psychology, diverse experiences in research, community engagement, and volunteering with different populations, I am committed to using my skills and dedication to learn how to positively impact the psychological well-being of children and families.

I’d like you to see me like an older sister who lives abroad. You don’t see me every day but I’ll always be there for you throughout this journey.
