Question from a concerned parent
How do you stop panic attacks?
Answer from Anxend experts
Stopping panic attacks is different for everyone, and it is a sign of extreme distress, firstly if you can take yourself to a quiet space, to avoid any extra anxiety, try to remain in the present moment, what's around you? what colours, sounds or smells can you describe. Box breathing is also a very helpful tool.
Box breathing is where you find a shape anywhere that symbolises a box, as you move around the edges of the square count in for four on the top out for four on the side and again on the bottom and the other side. I hope this helps you.
